Wrightsville Beach

Wrightsville Beach is one of those places that feels like home, not just because it’s where I was born and raised, but because it’s where I learned the art of fishing. This island holds a special place in my heart, and it’s no surprise that it’s also one of our favorite spots for fishing charters and eco tours. Wrightsville Beach isn’t just another coastal town; it's a gateway to some of the best fishing that Southern North Carolina has to offer. With its easy access to the ocean, it provides incredible nearshore fishing opportunities, while the surrounding marsh systems offer a paradise for inshore anglers.

One of the most enticing features of Wrightsville Beach is its access to some of the region's best nearshore fishing structures. These structures, combined with fish migrations, create the perfect conditions for a truly unique fishing experience. In winter, the waters come alive with massive schools of redfish, drawing anglers from all over for one of the most sought after catches of the season. The clarity of the water in winter is a unique quality to this area, allowing you to see fish moving beneath the surface, making every cast an important one.

Inshore fishing here provides opportunities with species such as Red Drum, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and Sheepshead and many more. Just beyond the shore, the nearshore waters offer a whole new world of fishing. Some of the targets include Spanish Mackerel, False Albacore, Cobia, Grey Trout, Black Seabass and Flounder.

Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a first-timer, Wrightsville Beach is a great location for just about any type of fishing you are looking to do.
